Crappy picture, but this is one half of a shrug-type-object that I was inspired to knit without any kind of pattern or even design principle, really. The arm is a short tube (above the elbow) with picot edge (all the rage these days). There are two diamond shaped eyelet accents before the diagonal-eyelets pattern across the back. I didn't anticipate 1) how stretchy the diagonal eyelet pattern and 2) that the back would really sag at the neck! I'm assuming #2 is because of #1. I'll see how motivated I am to fix it, considering other projects that are in the queue.

Recycling a sweater. It was a really huge aran, and I started ripping it up today. I reused this wooden toy as a hank-winder since I have no such object. The resultant yarn was supa kinky! Washed and weighed down, the yarn relaxed a lot. I'm considering a dye project... sometime.
